SUNDER SHAM ARORA SHARES GRIEF WITH BEREAVED FAMILY OF ALANKAAR, WHO LOST HIS LIFE AFTER HITTING BY A STRAY CATTLE ON WEDNESDAY

Punjab Industries and Commerce Minister Sunder Sham Arora on Friday expressed deep grief over the demise of Alankaar Sood, who lost his life on Wednesday after hitting by a stray cattle in the city area. 

While sharing grief with the members of bereaved family at their residence in Bhagat Nagar, the Minister said that it was a huge and irreparable loss for the family, relatives and friends of Alankaar. He announced that the State Government would provide a monetary assistance of Rs. 2 lakh to the family from the Chief Minister’s Relief fund.

Accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait, the Minister also announced that the wife of deceased would be provided a job as per her qualification in the same industry, where Alankaar was working. 

Pertinently, Alankaar Sood was returning from duty and he was badly hit by a stray cattle and succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday. 

While interacting with the media persons after meeting the family, the Minister mentioned that the District Administration had already chalked out a comprehensive action plan to catch the stray cattles strolling down in the street and city roads to further keep them at Cattle Pond in Falahi village. The Minister also appealed the cattle owners not to let their non-milching cattle loose on roads, which further lead to road mishaps. 

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait informed that as per the action plan, the joint team of Municipal Corporation, Transport and Animal Husbandry officials were impounding stray cattles from city areas. She said that this drive would be remain continue for two weeks and it would be constant process.
