ATTEND CALLS FROM MOBILE HELPLINES- DEPUTY COMMISSIONER APPEALS COVID PATIENTS UNDER HOME ISOLATION

Ensuring efficient monitoring of positive cases of COVID-19 under Home Isolation, the District Administration has appealed these patients to immediately respond calls being made daily from the helpline numbers to enquire about their well-being.
Giving details, the Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait said that on the directives of State Government these calls were being made from three mobile helpline number including dedicated MHL 104, 9041901590 and 0172-4071400 to all Home Isolation patients above 40 years mandatorily to take status of their health besides offering any medical assistance, if needed. She also appealed the patients under home isolation to receive these calls without any hesitation as it had been observed that many people were either reluctant to pick such calls or disconnect these calls.
Riyait said that the State Government had taken this initiative to provide best healthcare & treatment facilities to the Corona positive patients as well as uninterrupted consultation with the medical teams deputed for this purpose. She emphasised the need for meticulous monitoring of home isolation cases of COVID-19 to make them aware about the necessary health protocols and strictly follow the treatment prescribed by the doctors attending upon them. She said that in order to further streamline this system, 104 MHL was now making calls daily to track the health record of patients.
Pointing out further, Riyait directed the Civil Surgeon to get list of home isolation patients in the district updated daily, which would be shared with monitoring teams. She also impressed upon the people not to disconnect the calls from MHL 104, which had been setup to know their well-being so as to keep them away from the Corona virus. She asked the Civil Surgeon to regularly monitor the status of home isolation cases to keep the further spread of this deadly virus under check.
