DEPUTY COMMISSIONER DIRECTS FOR DAILY FOGGING IN WARDS/AREAS IN MUNICIPAL TOWNS

In order to keep a check on dengue and malaria, the Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait on Wednesday directed the Commissioner Municipal Corporation and Sub Divisional Magistrates to chalk out a comprehensive anti-dengue operations plan especially fogging in municipal towns.
Asking to start fogging drive with ward wise schedule, the Deputy Commissioner said concerned authorities would ensure that all the fogging machines are in good working conditions so that daily fogging could be done in all municipal towns. Apneet Riyait also pointed out that fogging should be started with immediate effect as the number of dengue/malaria cases were started rising by day.
Daily detailed reports should be submitted to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office regarding all the fogging activities along with the details of areas/wards to be covered by the Municipal Corporation/councils.
Riyait also urged the people to kept their premises and surroundings of residences free from stagnated water. She said that fogging would be taken place on a regular basis especially in those areas where cases of dengue were reported in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner also asked the officers concerned to conduct surprise inspection under anti-dengue operations and in case any area found to be in insanitary condition requisite action would be initiated.
