***ENSURE PROPER SEALING OF CONTAINMENT & MICRO CONTAINMENT ZONES TO BREAK CHAIN OF COVID-DC TO SDMs/DSPs
***DIRECTS THAT NO PASTING OF STICKERS OUTSIDE HOMES OF COVID POSITIVE PATIENTS & NO DISCLOSURE OF DETAILS OF PATIENTS
HOSHIARPUR, SEPTEMBER 7 / New Super Bharat News:
Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait on Monday directed concerned SDMs and DSPs to ensure the efficacious sealing of containment and micro containment zones to keep the further spread of coronavirus under check.
In pursuance of directions issued by the State Government, the Deputy Commissioner also stated that there would be no penalty for not wearing mask, if single person was driving the non-commercial four wheelers. She said that for not wearing mask in public places the penalty was Rs. 500/ but according to the recent directions the single person driving non commercial vehicle (four wheeler) need not to wear mask inside the vehicle. But once the person is out of the vehicle, he or she needs to wear a mask, otherwise the prescribed penalty of Rs. 500/- will be imposed, she added. She said that directions in this regard had already been given to all enforcement officials.
Instructing the concerned officers for effective sealing of said zones, Apneet Riyait pointed out that the shortcomings, if any, in enforcement of sealing and other guidelines would defeat the purpose of containing the COVID-19. The Deputy Commissioner also asked the SDMs and DSPs to depute some officers separately for these areas, who would visit said zones everyday to check that whether the sealing and other arrangements were in place properly or not.
Apneet Riyait also directed the authorities concerned in the district to strictly maintain the confidentiality of COVID-19 positive patients. She said that the State Government had taken this decision to reduce the stigma and discrimination in general public. She said that personal information of COVID-19 positive patients should not be disclosed to anyone except to those who are involved in public health action to control the spread of COVID-19.
The stickers indicating that the house is of COVID-19 positive patient and in isolation should not be pasted outside the houses of COVID-19 patients, who are home isolated/quarantined. The Deputy Commissioner also asked the officers/officials to ensure the strict compliance of said directions.
