204 BENEFICIARIES TO GET PUCCA HOUSES SOON AS CONSTRUCTION ON LAST LEG OF COMPLETION- APNEET RIYAIT

The District Administration will hand  over as many as 204 houses to the eligible beneficiaries providing financial help of Rs 1.20 lakh to each in three instalments thereby realising their dream of Pucca house. The construction of these houses is on the advanced stage of completion. 

Disclosing this here today the Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait said that with addition of these 204 beneficiaries of 2018-20 fiscal year, the number of total beneficiaries during last four years will touch to total 1377. She said that construction of 204 Pucca houses was on full swing as the office of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) had already released two instalments  worth Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 72,000 respectively besides releasing the sanction to all beneficiaries. 

Giving further details Apneet Riyait said that these houses were being constructed under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), which would be ready to occupy in coming months. She said that the Administration would release the last instalment of Rs. 18,000 to get the construction of these houses fully completed. She pointed out that as many as 543 pucca houses were provided to the eligible beneficiaries in 2016-17 followed by the next sanctioning for 630 beneficiaries.

The Deputy Commissioner also mentioned that apart from this, 90 man days were also being ensured for the workers under MGNREGS. Likewise, under Swash Bharat Mission Financial helo of Rs 12,000 has been provided to beneficiaries sans bathroom at their houses through MGNREGS, which is being directly transferred to the accounts of beneficiaries.

Divulging about the Awas Plus application, Apneet Riyait apprised that the District Administration had online registered as many as 3984 beneficiaries under Awas Plus , which was introduced to extend the benefit to those beneficiaries, who could not got themselves registers in SECC Survey of 2011.She said after their registration verification process had already been initiated to given the due benefit of houses to them. 

Meanwhile sharing their experiences to get their kacha houses to turn into Pucca ones, Manjinder Kaur w/o of Beneficiary Surinder Pal (52) of Jaura village in Tanda block and Jaswant Singh h/o beneficiary Renu Bala of Jharera village in Talwara said that it was the Government, which made our dream of Pucca houses fulfilled. They said that being labourers it was an arduous task for themselves to get their pucca houses constructed but with the help and support of Government, they had realised the same.
